How long will our portrait session last?
Every portrait session is different, but on average they last about an hour. Sometimes longer, sometimes sooner. For example a shoot with a large family will take longer then a single person shoot.
Is the voucher valid for one person or one portrait session?
The voucher is valid for one portrait session. Not just one person. You can have whoever you would like in that portrait session – the whole family and pets of just the children.
Where can we have our portrait session?
You can either have it at home or outside on location. We can recommend some fantastic locations in and around Maidstone and the Medway Towns. It’s entirely up to you. If we are photographing newborn babies, we suggest you have your portrait session at home.
Please note travel costs will be applicable for portrait sessions outside of a 15 mile radius of Maidstone. This cost will be from £10 to £20 depending on how far away you are. We will let you know before your session if travel costs are applicable to you.
What should we wear?
This is up to you! Try to avoid clashing colours and logos as these wont look great in your photographs. Think about what you’d like to be seen wearing when your photos are up on the wall. So if you can co-ordinate your colours then great! Simple blocks of colour work well. You’re welcome to bring a change of outfits with you.
Oh no, my child is ill! What about our portrait session!?
We will reschedule your portrait session. If your child is ill we just ask that you let us know as soon as possible before your session.
What if it rains?
If it rains and you have scheduled a location portrait session then we will reschedule…UNLESS you are up for getting your wellies on and fancy jumping in some puddles. This makes for awesome photos and can bring a whole new dimension to your photos!
How much will you direct us during our portrait session?
Not much. There will be a little direction but it’s all about the interaction between your family. Don’t forget we don’t really do the cheesy ‘smile for the camera’ shots…we’re far cooler then that and it’s all about the spontaneity and little moments between your family members that we like to capture!
After your portrait session.
When can we see the photos?
At the end of your portrait session we will arrange your preview session. This usually takes place a few days after your portrait session and in the comfort of your own home.
How many photos will be able to choose from?
This depends on the portrait session, but on average they’ll be about 30-45 photos to view. They’ll be a mixture of colour and black and white and presented on the laptop in a fabulous slideshow! After the slideshow you’ll have the opportunity to view every single photo individually.
Can friends and relatives be at the preview session?
Yes, that’s not a problem. Seeing all the fantastic photos of your family is an important event so please feel free to invite close friends and relatives!
Can we order extra prints and products at the preview session?
Yes you can! There will be some excellent deals available to GroupOn customers on the day and you are more then welcome to take advantage. Friends and relatives are also available to take advantage of these deals too! We have a great range of print collections, canvasses and acrylics available. We’ll also be on hand to advise you on what would look great in your home.
How can we pay?
We accept cheque, cash and most major credit and debit cards via paypal (5% charge does apply).
How long do you keep the photos for?
Unless you have purchased photos, most photographs are deleted after your portrait session. Although if you would like us to archive them we can do. There is a charge of £50 for this service.
How long do we have to wait for our photos?
Print collections and individual prints take a maximum of 4 weeks (usually much sooner) with other products taking a maximum or 6 weeks. If you have purchased anything extra over your GroupOn voucher then we will deliver these products for you for no extra charge, otherwise there is a £5 P&P charge.
Can you juggle?
Sometimes…if you ask nicely I might show you. (please note, I cannot juggle with swords, fire or small children – the insurance policy doesn’t cover that!)
